Hi,
Popping in to say hello.
How are all of you?
Things in my world are busy, busy and busy.
But with fun things I must add.
Nashville is fantastic.
Really, I dont lie to you.
I love this city more and more as the weeks go bye.
While I love this city and am beyond happy I moved here.
I am struggling on the job front.
It's been hard leaving a company I really, really loved but one that didnt offer much opportunity for growth.
And while I ultimately took my current position in Nashville to get me to this city and closer to family, Im struggling with actually having to be in my current position day in and day out.
Im not sure it's the best fit. (granted it's only been a month and a half so I cant adequately make an assessment on such a short time frame). I thrive on being with people, I thrive on relationship and interaction in the work place. It's how I feel passion and a sense of accomplishment and these human interactions are what spur me on to do my best work and be motivated.
But in this current position this aspect (that is essential, I have discovered to my well being) is lacking to say the least. It's hard. I am hoping it will get better. I have found that, as much time as I spend in Excel, it is quite a dull partner and doesnt quite compare to the characters I used to spend my 9-5 with back in Birmingham.
So that's where I am right now. Being fully transparent. In a city I know I love. But in a 9-5 I'm not so sure about.
On another note.
I leave you with a picture highlighting some of my after hour activities.
The man friend is quite the busy bee. You can read about his moonlighting venture here and here (shameless plug, I digress) . Outside of moonlighting with bow ties he also works in the music biz during the 9 to 5 and because of this I have enjoyed some nice little perks recently.
Honestly, I've never listened to much country music, sure Carrie has some great legs and Miranda is hot as hell, but the muic? I dont know one song from another, or the artists for that matter. Either way, I enjoyed a lovely night watching the CMA's live and afterward, indulged at the open bar at the Sony after party at the beautiful Hermitage Hotel.
Hopefully I will be popping in over here on the reg to keep you updated on the here and there.
Have a lovely weekend!

Where are you working Caroline? Glad to hear you are liking Nashville.
