Randoms

yesterday I did a long run.
(well in all honesty it wasn't that long, but long for in-training-I-want-to-quit-after-a-minute me)
It was hard.
but it is getting easier.
But I was running over to my friends house
Because last night was Supper Club.
(and yes I attend supper club in my gross sweaty running clothes because I'm classy like that)
But my friend lives on the other side of the highway that divides our little nook of the city.
So I had to run along the sidewalk next to the highway.
This made me paranoid.
Paranoid that there would be a freak accident where I would be hit by a car.
And paranoid concerning all the highway onlookers.
Good thing I had a hopping Shakira song going or I would have felt really really dumb.

Supper Club was a success.
When is it ever not a success when you get your best friends together for dinner?
and my friend made a diet coke cake! Who knew this even existed and has half the calories? It was delicious.

Ok, I left in the middle of this post to go to lunch.
Which was really good Mexican food.
Well when is Mexican food not good?

And then I ran home to let Potter out, fill his little Kong toy with peanut butter and bone to keep him busy for a bit.
And now I am back and I can't remember what else I was going to blog about...
So I'm out.

Peace,

  2. haha I hate running along busy streets... I get nervous that I'm going to trip and fall in front of a car. But I hate running outside in general because I feel like everyone is staring at me...

...so humble (and realistic) of me to say!

So honestly, the diet coke cake. I have never heard of that before but Diet Coke is my favorite thing ever! Thanks for sharing!

  3. Diet Coke cake? Is that like a less ghetto 7-Up cake? I bet it's good.

  5. Diet coke cake?! I want, I want.

And props to you for running along the highway. I would have had the same thought as you - I don't think I could do it!

  6. I made a diet coke cake once when I wanted a cake and didn't have eggs and LOVED it. I make it all the time now even when my pantry is properly stocked. Sooo good!
