Shock to my System

Goodness.
This weekend felt like it was a week long.
Which is a good thing.
I am just worn out from it.

I went to Kentucky.
And stayed with my best friend McCall.
I looked at her yesterday morning and said " I didn't take one picture. Shoot I have nothing to show on the blog."

But minus the picture documentation I had a great weekend.
So great in fact, I was terribly homesick last night.

I stayed at McCall's new and adorable home.
She is quite the cook.
She cooked up a delicious meal on Friday night.

Saturday we had lunch at BBQ restaraunt that is a hometown staple.
Saturday afternoon I headed out to test drive cars.
And I hit a car on my way to the dealership!
I am convinced I am the un-luckiest person ever!

Fortunately there was little damage.
I test drove a Prius.
And loved it!
Looks like that is what I will be driving soon!

After the test drive we headed out to the local race track to place our derby bets.
I did a win bet which basically means I picked 3 different horses to win first place and if one of them won I would win the bet.
I chose:
Paddy O' Prado
Devil May Care
and
Lookin' at Lucky.
I didn't win.

I should have gone with Calvin Borel.
Next year I guess.
But I was in the company of some winners which was fun.

Saturday night we headed to a local restaurant and then over to hang with some friends where more bets were placed on the Mosely vs. Mayweather fight.
Good times.

Sunday the drive home was exciting to say the least.
Nashville was a flooded mess and thankfully we were through it before they closed I65!

And the only picture I have is of the flood in Nashville. Which isnt a very good picture at all.

I hope your weekend felt like a week long.
Here's to Monday.

Peace,

  1. It is good to hear that you had a great weekend, but I am sorry that you're feeling homesick...that's not a good feeling. I am also glad that you made it home safely through all of the crazy rain! I agree, "here's to Monday.."
