I just finished this:
It is the first in the Sookie Stackhouse Vampire series that HBO's True Blood is based on.
I really enjoy True Blood.
But sometimes it can get a little wild/weird for my taste.
So I was excited to see how the book would stack up to the series.
And as always,
the book is much better.
A lot of the weirdness that is added in for drama by HBO is left out of the book.
But the characters (minus a few) still draw you in.
I love the Sookie on the show
but I love the Sookie that my head has concocted from the books even better.
Same goes for the rest of the characters such as Bill, Jason, Lafayette and Sam and (SWOON) Eric.
I just started the second book and
I am hustling to finish the third book because the third season of True Blood is based off of the third one.
If you are into vampire and sci-fi books these are great reads!

I just finished the latest Sookie book. I'm addicted! In my head the characters are better then real life though... =( Even Eric. Wait till you read the next book, you'll get reall excited for the third season!
ReplyDeleteOooh thanks for the info =) I have never watched this show. Not really into the whole vampire thing...although I am a sucker for Vampire Diaries lol! Started watching because of the hot guys, now i really love the story. I'll have to check this book out!
