This little Muffin is getting Neutered on Thursday. It probably should have been done sooner.
Because now he sprays on anything that is vertical.
At the dog park over the weekend he sprayed every tree and then moved onto the standing people like they were trees.
I knew it was time after that.

I think he will probably feel like he looks in this photo.
A little roughed up
and a little bewildered as to where his 'manhood' has gone.
I can't believe he has gone from this:

to
This handsome devil.
I hope the lady dogs aren't too disappointed when they meet 'post manhood removal' Potter at the dog park.

I have to share Sammy's "manhood removal" story. Our family vet at home did the surgery and I picked him up and brought him back to my apt here in Bham. He was just fine, a little drunk from the meds but in good spirits. He didn't seem to know anything was missing. Well, a few days later, I noticed that "they" were still there, just much, much smaller and kind of saggy. So I called the vet and asked when they were supposed to fall off. (I thought it was like an umbilical cord that just comes off when it's time.) The vet literally screamed through the phone: "IF THAT FALLS OFF, YOU GET HIM TO AN ER RIGHT AWAY!! THAT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN". And so I asked why not, how long would it look like that, etc. She was nice and answered my questions and then called my parents. I have never felt so dumb in my life.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!! Louis is going on April 1 (I thought that was appropriate) to be neutered. Poor little guys :( They just don't understand that the spraying and the agression (ie. eating shoes) is not something we can live with!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pie!! I wish him all the best!
ReplyDeletepoor sweet potter! he will be much more relaxed (not trying to impress the ladies) after his surgery! and that story in the first comment is hilarious!
