God, what will the next generation do for fame?

...But we all pity the wife (or husband, in the case of LeAnn Rimes) and shame the cheater - my added issue lies with these women who will trade their self-respect and morals for a fleeting moment in the spotlight. The desperation of women who will do absolutely anything for fame and the effect the media spotlight will have on the young girls now. This extends to excessive plastic surgery, taking a same-sex lover as a publicity stunt, and whoring out your relationship or children for magazine spreads. God, what will the next generation do for fame?...

I took the above, well written, thoughts on 'celebrity and fame' from a friend.
Her post was regarding the recent news that Jesse James pulled out his douche lord side and cheated on the lovely Sandra Bullock while she was away filming the Blind Side.
(Jesse James 'Other Woman')

I dont understand cheaters and I DEFINITELY do not understand the women who cheat with the cheaters, 'The Other Woman'.
How can you disregard all morals and social acceptableness for a fleeting moment of pleasure?
How do you disregard your self worth for that matter?
How do you feel after you have finished that moment of pleasure and you look at that person and KNOW that they are married or 'supposedly' committed to another?
HOW?
I recall seeing Elliott Spitzers former mistress on Kelly Cutrones show 'Kell on Earth'. She remarked that everyone is a whore in there own way so why was she being called out for her actions. (then she went on to describe some rebellious stunt she wanted to pull at an upcoming fashion show to garner more media coverage. SICK!)
REALLY?

I do not believe everything is relative.
I believe there is a right and a wrong.
and that not everything can be justified.

And to retiterate... what will the next step be in the game of 'fame'?

Peace,

Well said. I seriously do not understand how people can completely and totally disregard common decency, morals, self-respect, etc. I just can't wrap my mind around it.

  4. I completely agree with your comment on 'Kell on Earth.' I love that show, but was disappointed and sickened by Kelly and even Ashley's cavalier attitude about prostitution. No shame! I was embarrassed for them!
