But I have been immersed in pop culture this week for some reason.
Perhaps I took a slide when I watched the entirety of the Golden Globes, who knows.
I usually never pay attention to celebrity gossip but it is like a sick/weird vortex.
It all started with Heidi. When I saw the video on GMA I was in shock.
Then I was at a friends house last night and she had the People with ole' fem-bot on the cover.
Then I saw this:
WHY
Oh, WHY
Is this lady still around?
(Go feed your 1800 kids please with my tax money)
And how could anyone want to know about her body?
She is the last person on earth who's body I care about.
But people buy these things.
Just like I was totally sucked into Heidi yesterday.
What gives?
Do we all just love train wrecks this much?
Do you all keep up with all the ridiculousness this crap celebrity vortex offers or do you just pick and choose what sucks you in like I did with Heidi?
Or am I just weird?

I don't know why, but I do it, too. I think it's because it's just a nice escape. Who knows how much of it is true, but it's such a foreign world (the world that celebrities and Octomom live in) that I feel like none of it is real. So it's just nice to read for entertainment, I guess. That's my only explanation for why I do it.
I am not going to lie. I love my trash mags. Usually I read them in the summer when I am being lazy watching my kids swim or play at the cabin. It is a sick, sick vortex!
things like this, i don't mind feeding into...but when it comes to relationships/cheating/rumors about cheating, etc., i turn it OFF. i have to remember that these people ARE really just people at the end of the day, most of whom have kids and other family, and i just don't want to associate myself with it. but as far as diet fads, or kim kardashian's make up tricks, or victoria beckham's fashion, yeah, i'm all for it! :)
For a while I was buying US Weekly every week at the grocery store, but I just randomly slacked off. I think that I get sucked in as well, especially if someone that I like/dislike is on the cover. For example I was shocked and disqusted this week at the pics that I saw of Kate and her extensions...sick! I of course did not buy the mag for that, but was sucked in yet again for a brief moment. Ha!
I love tabloid mags I don't buy them but I will read them at the gym if they are lying around.
SO I am completely obsessed with this Heidi thing. I don't know why either, maybe I just feel sorry for her. She was so pretty before all of the surgery.
And ick, I cannot stand octo-mom or Kate G. either! I don't care at all about their bikini bod (ewwww) or hair extensions (awful!) but if it's about The Hills, Jen Anniston, Brangelina, etc. I'll totally read it!!

I also go through phases where I can't seem to put down a People mag or miss an episode of E!news, but I totally agree about the "octomom." Eww who cares!
I literally buy all those magazines-Us, In Touch, Life and Style, People, but not Star or the National Enquirer. I think it gives you an outlet where you think you have problems, but look at these people! I just enjoy reading them honestly!
Oh My Gosh! I read the "Heidi" article on the way home from Vegas on Sunday and I was like in total shock! What is going on! And why is this girl still around?? I truly have no words
