Oh Lord. It is November. And I am nervous!
It is crunch time for me and my half marathon training. And you want to take a guess at something... yep, I haven't exactly been the most diligent with getting out there and running.
My twelve week marathon training plan starts the week of Thanksgiving... Yea... possibly the worst week of the year considering all that turkey, casserole and pumpkin pie that will be sloshing around in my tummy.
So I figure I should just start the training early. Give myself a few extra weeks to be ahead so I am not set back in any way.
But there is a problem.
I just don't feel like running. ugh.
Last week I didn't run at all.
Today I don't want to go out there. It will be dark when I get home and chilly.
BUT
I HAVE TO!
I am determined to run this race.
I just have to get some motivation, and fast.
Peace,

My 12 week half-marathon training starts the week of Thanksgiving! What race are you running/ what program are you following?
ReplyDeletei have no motivation to work out/ run either. ugh. ben is training for a marathon that is in december. he has been training for two months and seriously runs 6 days a week. and not short runs, like usually 8-12. last sunday he ran 20 freaking miles. i just sit home on the couch and get fatter! haha. i always love exercising when i'm doing it, its just actually making myself go that is the problem!
ReplyDeleteyou can do it!!! good luck training!
I totally know how you feel!! BUT, when you actually run the race and finish, its an awesome feeling. You can do it!
ReplyDeleteYou can do it! It will take dedication. But you can do it!
ReplyDeleteAre you running outside? Or can you train some on a treadmill?
My problem isn't that it's too cool for me to go running, I can't get motivated to go because it's too hot out still. Ugh Florida!
ReplyDeleteAh I hear yah! I'm planning on running a 5k turkey trot (not quite a half marathon hah) but really need to get on the ball seeing as its only a few weeks away!
ReplyDeleteThat's how I've been feeling about doing the Shred. I'm in a wedding in a few months and would like to look semi-decent in my dress. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it! :) Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYou can do it. Seriously, just get your ass out there. Hahahhaa. I kid, I kid, but really, that's all it takes. Once you get your stuff on and get out the door the hardest part is over on those days you aren't feeling it.
ReplyDeleteI've lost motivation too, the weather and the evenings getting dark earlier, I just can't do it. I'm determined to get back out there this week, I know you can do it!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
You can do it! Just make sure to get your weekend long runs done every week and try your hardest to do a little something at least 3 other days during the week and you'll be fine. The long runs are the most important since they train your muscles to endure.
