H-A-double L-O-W-double E-N spells Halloween

Did y'all ever sing the Halloween song in my post title in kindergarten? I don't know how I remember this song from kindergarten maybe because I really do love Halloween...

Last night I picked this Halloween wreath:

Yep, It is sparkly black and orange and I love it. I thought about going a little more fall traditional say leaves and berries in a wreath but then I saw this and just had to have it!

That is one reason I love Halloween, you can be a little bit over the top/ maybe a little tacky. I dont get all crazy with the yard art or anything but I think this wreath says enough.

I think I love Halloween because it 1) ushers in fall and 2) I think it is kinda fun to be a little bit creeped out every now and then. Not, scared-out-of-my-mind-blood-and-gore-kill-people-creepy, but just a little spooked. How fun is a haunted hay-ride or a corn maze or just scary stories with some friends over chili and hot chocolate? It is just a right of passage for fall to have that creepy, goose bump feeling during this season.

On my fall decor excursion I also picked up a little treat for Potter:



Yes, I picked him up an orange T-shirt. He looks so cute in it!
