So here is my first post on this new series:
First a tip:
Books are over priced in my opinion. So I ALWAYS buy on amazon. I am sure most of you readers know this little secret, but on amazon you can buy used books for under $5. I have actually bought a book for 1 cent before! Really. And I also have a queue that I keep books I don't want to buy at the moment in so that I dont forget and it is quick and easy to check out. So, happy book hunting.
Right now I am reading this:

I really enjoy Curtis Sittenfeld books. (if you haven't read Prep or The Man of My Dreams, read those and then this.)
This book is about Alice who ends up marrying the future President of the US. I wont give away any more than that other than it is loosely based on one of our own past presidents... maybe he sent us to Iraq maybe not...:)
I am engrossed in this book. Do you ever get nervous to finish a book? I do. I am nervous to finish this one because I am nervous to see what happens between Alice and the pres once he starts making crazy decisions. It definitely has some suspenseful build up, but not really in a thriller-ish kind of way, just the way he writes makes you wonder where this is going.Sittenfeld writes with a lot of foreshadowing that has gotten me intrigued.
So pick up this book if you want a romantic yet complicated plot. Also I really suggest you read Prep first.
Here is one more recommendation:

This book is wild! I read it about a year ago and I seem to come back to it a lot. I think I am going to pick it back up this fall. It is appropriate for fall.
This book is somewhat of a thriller. Centered around Blue Van Meer and her secretive teacher Hannah Scheinder and out-there Political Science professor father, this book has got suspense, creepiness and even a death. Pick it up. It is very interestingly written and a good book to get you ready for Halloween.

That first book looks great!! I will have to read the other ones first though! haha I think this will be a great addition to your already great blog!! = )
