Pavement Pounding Day 7

Ok so it is only day 7! But I have been going at this running thing for about 3 wks... What! I guess I am busier than I realize. I wish I could just be an early morning runner, but there really is no way in hell. I am not even coordinated enough to brush my teeth in the morning, let alone run. But I really do wish...

But yesterday I ran with Bethany who is my new running bud. She is going to be beside me at that 1/2 marathon. We had a great run, although I must say, she is in much better shape than I am. But I am getting there. I havent quit and that says something.

Again I dont really feel like I have gained much ground. but I guess I will get there... :/

Also I am in need of new running tops. On the bottom end I am good. I love these shorts:

And apparently every other woman in the USA loves these shorts too. I mean almost every person I see in either work-out clothes at the gym, running clothes on the street, or sloppy clothes around town are wearing these shorts. Hate to admit it but I love them too world.

But I have had no luck finding a top I love to run in. I am not a fan of tight-knit spandex-y, sexy-ish, riding up past my mid-drift kind of tops. But I am also not a fan of running in a big t-shirt either. There is just to much confining fabric with a t-shirt, especially in the 1000 degree heat that is Alabama.

So what to do...

I liked these because they both look loose fitting and lightweight. Plus I do like the cut of them, not ugly or masculine and they are on sale for $6.99.

I dont really want to spend alot on tops since I already shell out enough on the running shorts but any suggestions would be great.
