I was thinking yesterday about things I really wouldn't want to live without, and how blessed I am to be able to have over-indulgences. I constantly am aware of how thankful I am for just how easy I have it. I have plenty of food, I can take a shower at any time, I have a bed to sleep in, I have family, I have friends, I have a car, I have a job... the list could go on. But yesterday I was really pondering how thankful and blessed I am to be able to indulge. I think we forget that it is such a powerful gift to have choice. Not only am I blessed to have food, I can choose what kind of food I want. I am blessed to be able to take a shower, but I have the choice of water temperature I want to shower at. I am blessed with a car and I get to choose the model. To be given so much is a blessing but to be able to choose is a privilege and gift that I take for granted much too often.
Here are a few of my over-indulgences that I am thankful for:

My razor! Isnt it amazing that we are so blessed that we even get to make the choice of what razor brand we use... that we even really ponder a razor at all is a little disturbing...

I love cheese but specifically I crave Colby Jack cheese. I am thankful for the choice.
I love pillows and specifically I love my Wamasutta Gel Pillow. We have a choice for pillows crazy...

I love having a clean face and I can choose from thousand upon thousands of brands what to wash it with.

These are just a few of a huge list that could go on and on. I believe it is important to really ponder the amazing amount of choices we have every day about everything. It is such a gift really.
You are so right.....sometimes we have to stop and think about all the great things we have in everyday life that we just don't appreciate enough! Great post!
